Our Perfect Wedding featured Otsile and Mohapi : 15 November 2015.
We enjoy all episodes for different reasons and this particular episode had us in stitches, because it seems like the whole wedding was pulled out from a So You Think You Can Dance episode.
Otsile, 28, and Mohapi, 33, are high school sweethearts and after being together for more than a decade, they decided to tie the knot and make sure the whole nation witnessed it.
The wedding was beautiful, there were less complications and riveting moments, but nonetheless we still liked it.
Usually most brides are concerned with about their dresses, but it seemed like Otsile was a bit nonchalant about her gown, it wasn’t even on her wish list and we only saw it on the day she said her vows. But she looked nice in her dress, her rather generous figure even looked slimmer and voluptuous. The hair and makeup were also on point.
We are not sure what to say about the bridesmaids. Their purple dresses fitted them well and they were well tailored but we are still questioning the design. It’s one of those situations when you know that something is wrong but you can’t pinpoint it. So we will just leave it at that.
The groom and his entourage didn’t look that great either. Their suits weren’t well tailored and lacked the James Bond effect. We prefer not to discuss them at great length because we don’t want it to seem like we have a problem with the groom’s weight, even though we slightly feel like he would have looked a whole better if he wasn’t that big.
Besides the shabbily done suits, Mohapi and his bestmen managed to set the dance floor on fire. The men moved as if they were also going to receive a R10 000 cheque at the end of the wedding. Also seeing Mohapi’s moves made us understand the reasons he sometimes disappears for two weeks and goes partying as he had mentioned. We just hope this tendency won’t continue in his marriage.
Mohapi yet again proved to us that he is not the bothered type when he left with the car to the matrimonial service, leaving the bride stranded, and concluded that she will make a plan. We are still trying to comprehend his unconcerned behaviour.
The part we loved the most about this wedding is the décor and their traditional outfits. Both the décor for the white and traditional wedding were nicely done and looked very lovely. All the traditional outfits were a breath of fresh. They were nicely stitched, they fitted well and everyone looked stunning.
We prefer not to comment much on the cake - it was just a cake. The couple were happy and that’s what really matters at the end.
We agree the wedding was well planned and beautiful. But what we enjoyed the most was the dance moves from the groom and his entourage. What can be more fun than watching men twerk at a wedding? We score this wedding a nine out of ten.
